Acute graft-versus-host disease is a serious complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation.

When disease progresses despite systemic corticosteroid treatment, prognosis can be poor and therapeutic options remain limited, particularly in patients with severe multi-organ disease.
